So you’re in a situation where you feel stressed, for example. Now, the important thing to note here, is that ‘the very moment you realise you’re stressed, is actually the time when ‘natural controls’ are bringing you out of that thought’.
Of course, the problem is now avoiding the following ‘re-investigation’ or ‘reaction’, as I have called it.
This can be quite difficult to separate, but, hopefully, you will have gleaned from my site that this is a subsequent ‘fighting’ process.
So back to that stressful thought/feeling – now, I realise that as I ‘register’ that I'm stressed, I simply then avoid the follow on, which is to fight the very processes that are bringing me out of this stress.
There are no longer any issues made out of this feeling and certainly no repetitive behaviour as I’m not ‘stuck’ in a whirr of questioning or analysing as part of my anxiety.
