A 'Summary' of the 'The Mind Works' Chapters 1-4 - Understanding The 'Way' We Think.
Extended 'Advice Column'
Why I say 'Relaxation Therapies Etc' DO NOT solve the problem of 'repetitive panic/anxiety' - it needs to be 'understood' that this just becomes 'part' of our problem of overcontrolling. Whilst it is undoubtedly important for the 'intense' sufferer to relax, we 'react' to the chance of relaxing by 'further questioning/explaining' as we don't trust in our ability to achieve this (ref moving from MORD Pt 2. to 4.)... hence the 'repetitive' behaviours.
The 'Crux of Recovery' - it's our 'belief' in our own thought processes, which is essential inpreventing that 'reaction'.
'Try It' Therapy - Just give it one day and see what happens - as we tend to be 'all or nothing' ...... if you're not sure - leave it and try it another day - nothing lost, a lot to be gained!
Be careful in what your understanding of 'letting go' really means. Remember, this led to me 'forcing the issue' once again.
Do you struggle with the 'grey' areas of life? How I've now learned to 'let things lie'.
Why instinct and gut feeling are 'more' than just guesswork - 'LIVE BY FEEL'.

A Fighter's Analogy - SJ likens this 'concept' to an 'itch', which we feel we have to scratch, but which nature can take care of! Full discussion follows.
Finale - 'All' we are doing is 'going back' into thoughts that should have 'come and gone'. The skill is recognising this and staying with what's current. Only then - can we follow our personal path to success and happiness.
